very good point of being positive on such wickets for the batsman but bowlers specially swing bowlers are very effective but the line and length and control on swing is important.

India's Success Mantra for England Tour - Play the ball aggressively as late as possible with exceptional concentration and footwork. As far as bowling is concerned, pitch the ball up allow it to swing and the rest will happen automatically.

Adapting to the conditions in England will be a challenging task. Next big thing will be how the Indian batsman are going to use their footwork to the swinging ball. The best way for them to play the ball according to the merit and play them as late as possible. The final thing should be to play positive.

Boria stated, "If we do want to play Bangladesh, we should play them far more seriously than sending a lesser Indian team to just get the job done. That's what will help Bangladesh cricket and will encourage cricket fans in the country to come out and support the series in big numbers. " He may be a sports fan first and a cricket fan second with his opinionated views. What I fail to understand is how the Cricket series (not only the India-BD but also the England-SL) could clash with the Soccer WC since they are being played at different times of the day. I'm interested in both and just prioritize what I view (I don't watch the late night-early morning Soccer matches). I was very fortunate to watch the 2nd ODI between India and BD and India's "lesser team" (in Boria's view) got the job done quite efficiently and effectively, and Binny's record of 6 wickets for 4 runs in 4.4 overs with 2 maidens thrown in was a treat to watch.

Boria also talks about "All said and done, it is about quality. About respecting the game and dishing out quality contests for fans. We are tired of rubbish and we will not consume below-par contests." I would ask him, "Quality of which side and what below-par contests?" It is precisely because the quality of the BD side was known to our cricket administrators (and maybe the selectors) that they sent a different side to play there. By the second match, this side has already won the "below-par contest"!

The empty stands showed that "the fans" thought (as did Boria) that their (BD) senior team would easily defeat (crush?) "an Indian team that is hardly the best" (as Boria put it). The record books would testify otherwise.

Mr. Majumdar, if you are not following the India-Bangla series, better do. I am sure it will change your opinion about India becoming serious about Bangladesh. India B team is more than enough to deal with Bangla team. Why waste our star players?! Don't know about the others...but given a choice, I would prefer India-Bangladesh cricket to Argentina-Bosnia or Germany-Portugal soccer game...

No this is interesting series...and in absence of senoirs young ones getting chance..very nice about it.FIFA is not having any india team in it!!!!! EVEN all matches in midnight according to india time.. so it doesn't make any diffrence in our country.IF YOUNG ONES show their talent then definitely this series will success....

Cook should have declared 1 hour before the stumps on Day 4 to give fair chance to his bowlers to bowl out the Sri lankans.Though it was risky but worth taking a chance.It would have definitely put under pressure the upfront batsmen on 4th evening and a score of 30/2 would have folded Sri Lankan innings on 5th day easily.

You may say that this Indian team is hardly the best, but it is surely good enough for Bangladesh. No sense in sending your top stars to Bangladesh just for the sake of creating records. This is good exposure and experience for Indian youngsters!

Suggestion for 2015 world cup:

Two groups of six teams is ok

1st rank in both group shall reach in semi final directly

2nd and 3rd rank of both group shall play quarter final

Winners of these two quarter final shall reach in semi final

These four team shall play semi final

Winners will play a final

Concern on existing schedule:

Four teams from both group will enter in quarter final which will loose interest during initial matches --> proposed schedule will have interest right from beginning for 1st place as well as to remain up to first three teams

First placed team even all round matches winner team from a group may have chance of knocked out at quarter final stage --> proposed schedule will give an advantage to team who stood first in round matches
