agree's with ya.. hayden,gilly,Mcgrath,warne were the four main pillers of oz cricket and there are only 3 big guns left i guess lee(out of form), ricky (sorta punter for oz cricket),symonds(oz selectors hate him now i don't know why?).. damn!! clark,hussey bro's can't win a game on their own for oz.

well that's perfectly fine but i feel that CA wants to give chances to their youngsters rather than calling hayden or gilli back in the side. Even the great's like ricky,hussey,lee,clark are out of the touch. They can't win a game for Australia single handedly like gayle did for west indies. They need to call symonds back and need to regroup asap if they want to win ashes.

Hate to point this out Einstein, but Gilly and Hayden are retired from international cricket. What that means is that they chose to stop playing for Australia, and no longer make themselves available for national selection. So saying they could have called back Haydos and Gilli is like saying they could have called back Boon and Border. Technically possible, given that all of the aforementioned are still alive, but none of them wish to play for Australia anymore. THEY ARE RETIRED!

People compare Ricky with Sachin...I say how...there is no comparison....Sachin played his best when his team was the weakest...and Ponting is slowly facing reality... when his weak team needs his best perfomances now.

Love them or hate them, Australia is still the number 1 cricket nation in the world, forget T20, its not a game to be taken seriously, its not really cricket, its more of a laugh than anything, it doesnt deserve Worldcup status, the Indian Premier League is rubbish, a lot of people around the world would have been happy if the concept had fallen over rather than relocated temporarily.
A global superleague not dominated by India would be more appropriate for everyone Im sure.

Forget that England were defeated by The Netherlands but even though they came back with superb determination and form in a 'do or die' match against a strong Twenty-20 side like Pakistan who is the current runner-up team. But Aussies couldn't show that kind of guts after they lost their 1st match very badly against West Indies..., they were so helpless without Gillchrist, McGrath, Warne, Hayden and Symonds... Australia's regim is finished..., every country want Aussies to be defeated... why?? Because they are very much moody and proudy... and habitual with the worst thing in cricket which is called the dirty 'Sledging'. Aussies are too much racists also... what they did to Indian students in Australia.... I hope u haven't forget yet...??? Really it is very good to see Australia out of the World Cup...!!! Everybody's eyes were pleased to watch Australia loosing, every heart is delighted because the worst thing is happend to the world's worst people...!!!

Imran,I guess more teams are happy at the moment with Australian out cause they afraid Australian will create problem in super 8 with them,so also the other people,as far as sledging is concern now a days every team is doing that(take case of sreesanth in IPL) ,about the attack on Indian student it is really very sad incident that innocent people are being attacked for no reason,but you should not mix cricket with this incident as far as sports is concern it is different from any kind of political events,My only concern I wrote in my first comment that media should not write off aussies like that who has won 4 world cups

Australia would never win any match if they will not kill oposition's batsman's paitence with their dirty sledging and abusing. For Sreesant... I will say he is tit for tat... he will kill you with your weapon... he is this kind of guy... Don't u remember he didn't say a word or had shown any kind of anger when South African pacer Andre Nel (The craziest man in cricket, this title given by BBC) abused Sreesant after Sree failed to play a bouncer from Nel but right after the incident Sreesanth gave him the most cruel reply in world cricket by hitting him a starigh forward SIXER and danced in front of him. The cricketing world will never forget this reply from Sreesanth to an abusive crazy Andre Nel. Sreesanth started to sledge after he was sledged by Symonds and now whenever he faces any Aussies he will kill them with their gun. And This Australia team can't even beat this weakest ever Pakistani team also. India and South Africa defeated Aussies in their home in recent past, Aussies lost to India at last T-20 World Cup, they already have lost 5 consequtive Twenty-20 Internationals (3 in a row against South Africa, 1 against West Indies and the last one agaisnt Sri Lanka). So othet team would be happy to play Twenty-20 against the Aussies and earn two valuable point from this stupid Ponting's team as the English media find out the truth that Aussies are nothing but the spectator in Twenty-20 cricket.

It is just a short form of the game. Anything can happen. Just because Aussies is out of the T20 world cup, you cannot make fun of them. England, be aware that you are going to face them in the Ashes Series in the next few months. What if Aus clean sweaps the series, and the Aussies media makes fun of England Cricket team?

I agree that most of us love Australia losing (because it has won enough number of games or because of the teams behavior with opponents, and because of the way they utilize sledging to win the game) , but the thing is that they can come back strong. I still belive that they are a very strong team.

There are a hell lot of cases where a team is outplayed in a series, and the same team have come back strongly.

A best captain is one, who when leaves the team, the team continues in a good state. Examples are Anil Kumle and Steave Waugh. I have considered Ricky Ponting is an arrogant personality after his remark on legnedry figures like Sunil Gavaskar and Allan Border. Therefore it is obvious when he leaves the team, the team will be not in a good shape. The early exit of Australia from T20 is a lesson to the captain to respect the legendry figure so that respecting the game so that respecting the reason for which you are respected.

For your information, NO board has anything to do with the draw : its decided by predefined guidelines by ICC.
If you have little brains left, observe that each group have EXACTLY TWO teams who qualified for Super Eight in LAST t20 WC!
West Indies (who kicked out Aussies this time) were thrashed outta last WC by your "weak" Bangladesh, that's why they were placed in that group- as a "weak" team.


And its high time that Aussies learn something about how to earn respect, how is it being loved!
They are (were) the strongest team in World cricket- saw more success ever than any other, STILL they are hated so much! Everyone is rejoicing their exit in this WC!

I dont understand why some people still think that they are a good side.?
That quality is not there what so ever. I hope their seeding for the next WC T20 will be 11th (ahead of Scotland). They should be allowed to take part only if they qualify.

Rajesh is very right. You can't compare Sachin and Ricky. Ricky is no match, Sachin is the ultimate cricketer the world has ever produced. I think even the great Sir Vivian Richards could not have carried on for such a longish period.

His modesty and love for the game and constant learning of the game has put him in this place. I wish he scores 50 centuries in test cricket.

He is the jewel of the Indian crown.

to be honest I don't feel as though T20 does any team any justice... The best team really doesn't always win.
Just wait for the real cricket to start next month. Then the winner of the ashes can take all the compliments they wish and deserve but until then, don't write those aussie's off.

All this comment on Australian team is ought to come as they are on a great losing spree...and its really great to watch. But this English media are really great at doing mind games with the Australians. Thanks to some terrific one liners for pointing.
At one time Aussies were known for their back up players who were of high quality. But now its India and its really heartening to see the players like Rohit, Yusuf, Raina emerging as the powerhouse. Ofcourse there is Yuvraj and Sehwag. Perhaps one of the best batting line-up in the making; going by there recent records nobody will disagree with this. And hats off to Dhoni the way he has utilised their skills to the best.
Pointing fails to succeed at 20-20 coz he thinks its anybody's game. Common boy if u play quality cricket u are going to win. Even though having quality players u are not playing quality cricket and perhaps the reason for ur losing right.......When you will give half volley to Gayle...oh boy....i still feel that 105 metres six is shorter....he could have hit that 150 metres beyond. Aussies were considered under-dogs.....but now they are niether under...so just....
