  • pinku · 2 months ago
where would u fit dravid in the line up when yuvraj and sehwag have made come backs.ind was going to lose against aus too in CT, as kumble says one loss to pak and ind out.they were lucky as the rain interveind.all the oldies will support thier contempraries(prasad, dravid, robin singh) bcs they played with them.

Why don't you people include Sachin..in the list of oldies...... :) (He sure might be a hater of dravid.)

In onedayers, the player need not be aggressive always....Obviously players like Gambhir, Dravid become handy in such formats.
Dravid has also got a strike rate above 125 in IPL, what do the selectors think of him?
He is far better than yuvi and any other middle order batsmen, who have got selector's attention.
RS Dravid is a greatest player of all time.........
Let's .....HOPE.......BCCI will.......REGRET.....their selection after the ODI SERIES

True...I don't understand this statement "You should not read too much into these losses" but Mr Kumble should understand that Champion sides are those who know how to play it big in big tournaments. And its a lame excuse for India to have not played well in T20 WC or CT. I believe, Team India have started to live on past laurels than keeping the performance live and kicking all the time. A thing or two to learn from Aussies here.

here you are wrong Mr. Jumbo....., pakistan played both final of the T20 WC, once defeated and then won............., it is consistent performance.........., actually teams having good players are better for 20-20 format, there consistency is not important, the WI also like that....., they also have good players but not consistent....., but play good T20..........

Everyone knows that T20 is a lottery. In shorter games even weak teams can win. The longer the format, the harder it is for weak teams to win.

Long Back once Gavaskar has said that selectors are a bunch of jokers - this group has proved him right .
Rahul Dravid is an anchor to the team and players around him are expected to score .
He was far better than many of the big names .
Dropping him only shows that the selectors are not people with an idealogy or vision or even with a game plan.
Every time the team fails some necks roll often they are any others other than the culprits .
    God save the game .

I think dropping player like Rahul Dravid is nonsense. Rahul Dravid who was Mr dependent at one time, now the selectors are not respecting such a player who has made India proud over seas and in home too. Player like Dravid don't need to prove himself after playing 15 years and scoring 10,000+ runs in both forms of the game.

Rahul dravid is the one of the greatest batsmen who has created a niche for himself and gave many so many wins for india in home and abroad. He has played well in last 2 tournaments but at the same time i think its time for youngsters to be given a chance.

Sehwag should perform consistently otherwise the omission of rahul dravid does not make sense.
